The
most important corporate resource over the next 20
years will be Talent: smart, sophisticated businesspeople
who are technologically literate, globally astute,
and operationally agile. The converging forces of
enhanced attrition, demanding jobs and innovative
technologies demand stable talent resources for sustainable
competitive advantage.
The looming war for talent is very real and, left
unaddressed, stands to dramatically alter the economic
performance of companies and countries. CEOs around
the globe are challenging their HR leadership to develop
winning strategies for recruiting and retaining the
top talent that will continue to drive growth and
performance. Talent thus becomes an organization focal
point. Instead of conventional talent management strategies,
organizations need to identify the linchpin positions
which are Mission-Critical in achieving organizational
goals.
Mission-Critical Talents contribute to the organization
in the current scenario of Team Oriented, Virtual,
Collaborative, and Extended Enterprises. Acquisition,
Engagement, Development, and Retention of Talents
in a transient enterprise system are hard tasks.
Kalpatha 08, the flagship event of the CET MBA addresses
these issues to shape the Talent maps and grids to
ensure enhanced returns.
